BIOGRAPHY
Jimin is one of the most well-known members of the world-famous K-pop group BTS. With his outstanding abilities as a singer, dancer, and performer, Jimin has earned a reputation as the “idol of idols” and is considered one of the most charismatic and influential artists of his generation.

Jimin, born on October 13, 1995 in Busan, South Korea, showed a strong interest in dance and music from a young age. As a child, he was naturally very ambitious and began intensively exploring dance forms such as hip-hop and modern dance styles early on. His parents recognized his talent and supported him by enrolling him in various dance classes. Notably, Jimin attended Busan High School of Arts, a respected school with a special program for the performing arts.
During his time at Busan High School of Arts, Jimin specialized in modern dance and quickly proved to be one of the top students in his field. His teachers were impressed by his skill and passion, which motivated him to consider a career in entertainment. A teacher who was convinced of Jimin’s exceptional abilities suggested he audition for a K-pop entertainment agency.

This suggestion eventually led Jimin to Big Hit Entertainment (now HYBE Corporation). Although he started training relatively late compared to other trainees, he immediately impressed the agency with his exceptional dance skills and determination. His intensive training schedule included not only dance but also singing and acting, as he wanted to excel in every aspect of a K-pop career. Despite the challenges training brought, Jimin stayed determined and focused.
Jimin’s journey as a trainee and eventually to BTS was marked by hard work and a constant pursuit of perfection. His determination and talent paid off when he officially debuted as a member of BTS in 2013. The members are: RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, and Jungkook.

Jimin began his journey in BTS as lead dancer and vocalist.
He is known for his impressive dance skills and his unmistakable, emotional voice. His musical talent showed early on in songs like “Lie” from the album “Wings” (2016), a solo track that powerfully demonstrated Jimin’s ability to convey intense emotion. The song was praised by critics and fans alike and established Jimin as an artist who goes far beyond expectations.
Another milestone in Jimin’s career was the song “Serendipity”, released in 2017 as part of the BTS album “Love Yourself: Her”. This track, which highlights Jimin’s tender and sensual side, quickly became one of the best-known and best-loved BTS solo songs. Jimin’s voice and his emotional delivery earned him worldwide recognition.
In 2020, Jimin released “Filter” on the BTS album “Map of the Soul: 7”. This song, with its Latin American flair and seductive rhythm, showcases a different, experimental side of Jimin and became a huge hit. “Filter” once again demonstrated Jimin’s versatility as an artist and his ability to seamlessly master different musical styles.
SOLO CAREER

Jimin’s solo career reflects his versatility and his pursuit of artistic perfection, and while he is primarily known as a member of BTS, he has also achieved considerable success as a solo artist. His solo work shows a deeper, often more personal side of Jimin that he only occasionally reveals in BTS’s group projects.
With “Set Me Free Pt. 2” and “Like Crazy”, Jimin presented his solo work on a larger scale when he released his first solo album “FACE” in March 2023. The tracks show Jimin’s growth as an artist and emphasize his emotional depth as well as his ability to tell stories through music and performance. The success of these songs on international charts, including their placement on the Billboard Hot 100, confirms Jimin’s worldwide influence as a solo artist.

Despite his time in the military, Jimin released his first solo album “MUSE” in August 2024, featuring six songs, including the lead single “Like Crazy (Japanese Version)”. The album showcases Jimin’s artistic range and emotional expression by combining different musical styles. “MUSE” received positive reception both in Korea and internationally, cementing Jimin’s position as a solo artist.
